2014 Fairtrade Fortnight is fast approaching and this years campaign will be focusing on Making bananas fair. if you'd like to follow the national campaign visit the Fairtrade foundations webiste and help Foncho make bananas fair.
There are lots of ways schools and community groups can get involved so if you head on over to the Fairtrade foundation website you'll find lots of resources and ideas to get going on your campaign.
Locally, Ayr Fairtrade partnership will be organising a Fairtrade cookery demonstration in Riverside church halls at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome so watch this space for more details.

Ayr Farmers' Market: first Saturday of every month
Local supermarkets now stock some Fairtrade products but you can choose from a much wider range at the Farmers' Market Fairtrade stall. The market is held on the first Saturday of every month, except January, in the Kyle Centre car park (just by the back entrance into the Kyle Centre).

Look out for the Ayr Fairtrade Directory available in local churches, libraries, council buildings, Tourist Office and local shops and cafes.
Big Fair Bake
As part of 'The Big Fair Bake' organised by the Fairtrade Foundation, members of AFP made a cake and shared with Helen Moonie, South Ayrshire's Provost.
