THE AYR FAIRTRADE SHOP MAKES RECORD SALES
The Ayr Fairtrade Shop which was open for five weeks in the run up to Christmas took more than £10,000 in sales. Every single penny of this amount has gone to help farmers and workers in developing countries earn a better living for themselves, their families and their communities
Ayr Fairtrade Partnership, who organised the shop, would like to thank everyone who came into the shop, browsed, made purchases and helped to achieve this fantastic result.
AYR FARMERS' MARKET: first Saturday of every month
Local supermarkets now stock some Fairtrade products but you can choose from a much wider range at the Farmers' Market Fairtrade stall. The market is held on the first Saturday of every month, except January, in the Kyle Centre car park (just by the back entrance into the Kyle Centre).
